I’m working on an SPSS assignment at the moment, and the biggest problem is not entering the data—it’s understanding what the output actually means. I can run basic tests, but once I start looking at significance values, correlations, regression tables, or multiple variables at the same time, it becomes much harder to explain the results properly in the written section.
While looking for additional guidance, I found this resource:

What I’m mainly trying to improve is the interpretation side of the assignment. I don’t want to simply copy numbers from SPSS into the report; I want to understand which results actually matter, how much detail to include, and how to connect the statistical findings back to the research question.
For anyone who has done a lot of SPSS coursework, do you usually write the analysis as you run each test, or complete all the statistical work first and then interpret everything afterward?
