How to track indexing progress post-site migration

I recently migrated a big news portal to a new CMS and domain, keeping URL structures mostly intact. We’ve done proper redirects, updated sitemaps, and linked all over — but indexing is still very inconsistent. I need a tool that lets me check whether specific migrated URLs are back in Google or still pending. Manual checks are impossible with 300+ pages. Any ideas?

We had a similar challenge during a migration for a tech blog. What really helped us was using a google indexing check online https://en.speedyindex.com/google-index-checker/ tool that let us check index status for all migrated URLs in bulk. It highlighted which pages had been reindexed and which were stuck or dropped entirely. It also showed mismatched canonicals on a few that we overlooked. Based on that, we fixed redirect chains and resubmitted only the trouble pages. Within a week, 85% of the content was back in search. It’s now part of our post-migration SOP.
